Hello everyone!
As I mentioned before, this Easter we will be worshipping with the whole Synod through the videos prepared by volunteer congregations from around the province!
First up is the Easter Sunrise meditation (which is another tradition that we aren’t used to) and is hosted by Pastor Rebekah Swanson of First Lutheran Church in Vancouver. There is no bulletin for this, but the video (that goes live April 11th at 10am) is found here:
Then at 10am on Easter Sunday, the video showcasing our submissions of this week’s photo challenge will go live. The congregation was asked to share a photo or so of things that reminded them of resurrection and new life. We had a number of photos submitted, but I was able to get it down to about 5 minutes. This will be our way of gathering before we together move into the Easter celebration with the Synod. That video for the photo challenge is found below:
And finally right after the above video we will join Pastor Kristen Steele and the people of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Langley, Pastor Diana Edis and the people of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Prince Rupert, and Bishop Greg Mohr of the BC Synod for a collaborative worship with the whole Synod!
